In 2003, I received an assignment from San Francisco Magazine for a feature article profiling Kamala Harris.

I spent several days shadowing Kamala during her campaign for San Francisco District Attorney and  I observed her dedication to public service first-hand. On and off camera, Kamala is remarkable. I told her then that one day she would become president of the United States. She humbly responded that at the moment she was just trying to become San Francisco District Attorney.
