Sticks (Stilts) explores the universal impulse to rise above the earth. For years, I have documented stilt walkers and stilt dancers where they are used for traditional ceremonies, ritual, celebration, performance, and practical life. The act of elevating ourselves toward the heavens is a shared phenomenon found in cultures around the world.
